This course stretches to three years of education combined with practical on-hands training. The course will be able to prepare the student to be a general nurse who will be able to assist the community and hospitals for various needs. MPCN is having sanctioned capacity of 40 seats for this course.

This is a under graduate course offered at MPCN and runs for four years. The course is most sought after in terms of the number of career opportunities that will be opened up to the student. Graduates may prefer to opt for placement through MPCN or prefer to pursue their academic or research interests. The course combines the theory and practice of nursing in order to prepare nurses who will give their best to their choice of workplace like clinics, community, academics, research. The two-year P.B.B.Sc course is built to intensify the skills and knowledge gained by the student at the diploma level. It is a course normally taken by GNM graduates to upgrade their skills. The course is intended to enable the diploma students to acquire a graduate degree with more advance skills & knowledge. Since many of our students have gained a certain amount of experience after GNM, this course becomes lively as students derive better theoretical knowledge by pitting it against the experience already gained by them. MPCN is having sanctioned capacity of 20 seats for this course.

  1. Examination
  • The candidates appear for theory and practical examination of HPNRC board and H.P. University, Shimla at the end of each academic year.
  • There will be internal assessment tests in each subject conducted at prescribed time.
  • The internal assessment carries 25% prescribed by Indian Nursing Council, HPNRC board and H.P. University marks.
  • The candidate will have to pay the examination fee as fixed by HPNRC board and H.P. University from time to time.

In the last academic year our students score 100% results in the HP University exam

  1. Scholarships

Financial support is provided to poor & meritorious students. The eligible students are also entitled to post matric scholarship through national scholarship portal. The Jammu & Kashmir state students are also enabled the PMSSS J& K Scholarship through AICTE.
