Infrastructure

We are having an aesthetically designed campus with the perfect symmetry of design & decorum. The institution set in lush green environment which provide a right ambience & atmosphere for intellectual stimulations. A standby power generator is provided in the campus including hostel to take care of the occasional power shut down due to maintenance.in short –the perfect place for learning & growing.

LABORATORY

Nursing foundation lab

This lab consist of modern equipment’s & dummies for the demonstration of nursing procedure based on the requirement of the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. This lab helps the students to develop their nursing skills through continuous demonstrations under the supervision & guidance by the expert teaching faculties.

Pre-clinical lab

This lab helps to reinforce the theoretical knowledge of human anatomy & physiology with the help of articulated skeleton, various disarticulated bones, models, slides & charts.

Community Health Nursing lab

This lab is equipped with artificial rural & urban setting in which the student will learn about Indian rural & urban community & their problems. The Lab is provided with adequate learning materials, family folders, Survey formats and AV aids. Sufficient number community bags are available to demonstrate the bag technique and to treat minor elements and to utilize at the time of home visit. The bags are equipped with all necessary items to provide family health care at the door steps of the clients.

Maternity & Child Health Nursing lab

This lab help the student to demonstrate about normal & abnormal labour/ delivery & Child Care. The students are directed to acquire sufficient knowledge and skill in rendering quality care to women in reproductive age group & child health with special emphasis on prenatal, natal post natal period and newborn.

Nutrition lab

This lab is well furnished & equipped with cooking facilities where the students learn preparation of various therapeutic & normal diets.

Audio Visual Aid lab

This lab is equipped with high tech educational media like models, LCD projectors, OHP, DVD player, CD player, TV, Printers, Tap Recorder, Camera, flannel boards, Flip charts, Screens, film, film slides, Cassettes, CD/DVDs, Modems, charts, Models and sound systems to support the teaching learning activities of the nursing students.

Computer lab

This lab consists of latest computer with broad band facility that will help the students to get the latest information regarding diseases, treatment & their nursing care. Our computer lab is well equipped with the latest high end systems and broadband internet facility. It maintains an ideal student-machine ratio of 2:1.

CLASSROOMS

College has provided modern teaching, learning facilities abreast with modern teaching, learning technologies which are needed for the sound education & practice in the nursing profession. Well-equipped classrooms to provide world class education to the students with all advanced audio-visual aids & supportive learning environment

LIBRARY

To support the academic requirements of the faculty & students, the college has a well-stocked library with the latest addition of Nursing & General Books. It has also regular subscription of National & international Journals & Magazines. The library is continuously in the process to acquire text books & reference books, to keep its reader abreast with the latest information.

The library of the institute aims to facilitate academic & research activities of the faculty & students by providing timely information & resource through cost effective means.

Galaxy Auditorium

College is having spacious auditorium with sitting capacity of more than 1000 participants for organizing various co-curricular events & other college functions.

Temple

We have a divine temple in our college premises. The blessings of the divine can be invoked to refreshing & recharging the mind & body.

Hostel

Hostel is the home for all the students who are living away from their homes. Our nursing students are housed in a secure separate girl’s hostel. This makes the hostel an indispensable part of college infrastructure. The hostel is situated in the college premises. It is well furnished with modern amenities, Hygienic Mess, 24X7 water Supply & electricity.

Mess

A well-balanced, wholesome and nutritious tasty vegetarian food is being provided to the student’s & the staff members. The menu is well designed keeping in mind the parameters of taste and a balanced diet. We give prime importance to the quality standards and hygiene in the preparation and handling of the food.

Clinical postings

College is attached with 250 bedded Dr. Y.S Parmar Medical College and Hospital Nahan, 568 bedded Dr.Rajender Prasad Govt.Medical College & hospital,Tanda (Kangra),50 bedded Regional Hospital Dadahu & 50 bedded community Health Center, Sarahan. Special Internship training for the final years students from other reputed multi-speciality hospitals & super speciality hospitals

College is having a spacious play ground where students are practicing the outdoor games

Transportation

Mata Padmawati College of nursing owns large fleet college buses with CCTV Surveillance that pick and drop faculty members / students from different places of Nahan.
