Admission

Admission procedure & policies

  • The admission of the students will be once in a year according to the norms of INC New Delhi, HP University Shimla, Atal Medical and Research University Mandi, DME Shimla & HPNRC Shimla
  • During the time of admission the candidate have to submit the attested copies of the following documents:-
  • 5 Photo Copies of Matric Certificate,10+2 Examination Certificate along with marks sheets, aadhar card , character and conduct certificate
  • The medical certificate from a Government Senior Medical Officer/ Surgeon
  • 6 current colored passport size Photos.
  • Residence/Domicile Certificate
  • 4 Photo Copies of Migration Certificate
  • Candidates belong to any category (SC, ST, OBC or BPL) have to submit their category certificates
  • 5 Photo Copies of course completion Certificate, 3 years of DMC of GNM Course, course completion Certificate & HPNRC RN/RM Certificate. This is only applicable to Post Basic B.Sc Nursing candidates

Eligibility criteria for B.Sc (N) 4 years course (40 seats)

  • Applicant for admission must be completed 17 years of age on 31st August.
  • Eligibility- 10+2 with physics, chemistry & biology with minimum 45% marks.
  • Candidate should be medically fit.
  • The procedure of selection for the Govt. seat and Management seat will be the entrance test that held by Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla (H.P.) / Atal Medical and Research University, Mandi (H.P.) in the month of July/August every year.

Eligibility criteria for GNM 3 years course (40 seats)

  • Applicant for admission must completed 17 years of age on 31st August and not more that 35 years of age. Married candidate can also apply.
  • Eligibility- 10+2 with preferably science or any other stream like Arts, Commerce & Vocational Course with minimum 40% marks.
  • Candidate should be medically fit.
  • The procedure of selection for Govt. & Management seat will be based on merit that counseling held by DME (Directorate Medical Education), Shimla in the month of July/August every year.

Eligibility criteria for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing 2 years course (20 seats)

  • Applicant for admission should be between 17 to 35 years as on 31st December.
  • Eligibility: 10+2 with preferably science or any offer stream like arts, commerce & vocational courses with minimum 40% marks.
  • Candidate should be obtained 50% marks in General Nursing & Midwifery from recognized Institution Approved by Indian Nursing Council.
  • Candidate must be registered as a registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM) with H.P State Nurses Registration Council, Shimla during the time of Admission process.
  • Candidate should be medically fit.
  • The procedure of selection for the Govt. seat and Management seat will be the entrance test that held by Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla (H.P.) / Atal Medical and Research University, Mandi (H.P.) in the month of July/August every year.

Fee structure

The fee structure will be as per the notification of Principal Secretary of Health (Govt. of Himachal Pradesh) in pursuance to section 3 and 7 of the Himachal Pradesh Private Medical Education Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of fee) Act, 2006 the Governor Himachal Pradesh is notify the fee structure and admission procedure in respect to Nursing Courses viz. General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) B.Sc. Nursing and P.B.B.Sc. Nursing in private nursing Colleges in Himachal Pradesh.
